Deborah (Debbie) Sue Halfman, 52, of Dowagiac, Michigan, and formerly of Minnesota, passed away peacefully July 2, 2023.
Celebration of life will be July 14, at Lions Club Park in Duelm at 4 p.m. Prayer session will be at 5 p.m.
Debbie was born March 22, 1971, in St. Cloud, to William J. Halfman and Bonnie L. (Pekarek) Szczech. She graduated from Foley High School in 1989.
Debbie was an unconditionally happy person and made the best of every situation. She had such a big heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved kids, she would always talk about her nieces and nephews. She spent a lot of summers on the lake enjoying pontoon rides with her life partner, Brett, and his family.
Debbie is survived by her life partner Brett Waldron, Dowagiac, Michigan; mother Bonnie (Pekarek) and step father Allen Szczech, Foley; brothers and sisters: William Halfman, Jr., Duelm; Daniel (Becky) Szczech, Foley; Travis Szczech, Foley; Jean (Jenna) Wipper, Minneapolis; Misty Szczech, Foley; Josh (Laura) Szczech, Foley; four nieces, five nephews and her dog, Peanut.
Debbie was proceeded in death by her father William Joseph Halfman. Grandparents William Senior and Mary Halfman; George and Mary Pekarek. Her beloved dog, Coco.
