Sarah (Curley) Wojciechowski, of Foreston, passed away March 31, 2023. Mass of Christian burial was April 4 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston. Burial followed at the parish cemetery. Arranged by Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.

Sarah was born in Stillwater Feb. 28, 1931, to Will and Alice Curley, the youngest of three girls. Her family moved to Foley. It was there she met the love of her life, Arnold. Just 13 months later, at age 15, she lost both of her parents and moved back to Stillwater to be with her grandmother. It was then that the long-distance romance began. Arnold wrote her 199 love letters, saying they needed to be married before the 200th. They married Aug. 19, 1950. They made their home in Sartell, where they were soon blessed with a daughter, who became a big sister to six brothers. They had no running water, and Sarah walked three blocks daily to get water for her family. They decided that with that many children, they needed a farm, so they moved to Foreston.  After the move, they had two more boys and finally a daughter. They tragically lost a son at the age of 5, but then became parents of another daughter, their 11th child.

Sarah devoted her life to her family. She filled their life with joy and boundless love while she filled their bellies with meat, potatoes and fresh homemade bread. Her love for her family grew when she was given 32 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Tischbirek, of Duelm, Tom (Joanne) Wojciechowski of Foreston, Rodney Wojciechowski of Foley, Kevin (Christine) Wojciechowski of McAllen, Texas, Craig (Eileen) Wojciechowski of Foreston, Mark Wojciechowski of Ronneby, Daniel (Cathy) Wojciechowski of Hill City, Gary Wojciechowski of Minneapolis, Susan Wojciechowski of Minneapolis, and Amy (Darl) Beckworth of Foreston; 32 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; son, Tony; son-in-law George; granddaughter, Nicole; great-grandson, JT; and sister, Cornie.
