Ann Hildred Goneck (Wisniewski), age 94, passed away peacefully March 1, 2025.
Ann was born May 4, 1930, in Foley (St. Cloud Hospital), where she attended high school. As a child, she learned to play the violin. She received her degree in education from St. Cloud State University and her master’s degree from St. Thomas University in St. Paul. After living in three states the first 18 years of her marriage, her family and she settled in Princeton in 1968.
Ann was a third grade teacher in Princeton for 23 years and was awarded teacher of the year in 1992.
Ann was a breast cancer survivor. She loved to travel and take vacations with her friends and family. Her travels included Europe, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand and numerous state and national parks in the United States.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Ann was a devout Catholic and volunteered for many charitable causes including Meals on Wheels and various church and civic events.
Survived by her younger brother, John (Joan), and her younger sister, Catherine; children, Jane Wesbrook, Maryrose Gondeck, Kate Carlson (Pam), Chris Gondeck (Norah), Susan Linscott, Elizabeth Ralston (Robb) and David Gondeck-Becker; grandchildren, Michaeline Collier, John Betzler (Kate), Michael Wesbrook (Amber), Katya Block, Ana Molina (Chad), Alexandra Fox (Jim), Rose Crider (Nate), Sam Gondeck (Erin), Charlie Gondeck (Sarah), Simon Gondeck (Meredith), Sevy Gondeck, Ava Gondeck and Grace Gondeck; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, in 2012, and parents, Severyn and Edna Wisniewski.
A private Mass for the family will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at the Church of St. Bartholomew. 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation will be at church one hour prior. The burial will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jacob.
