Dale L. Lewandowski

Dale Lewandowski, age 81, of St. Cloud and formerly of Gilman, passed away April 29, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family and friends from heart failure.  Funeral services were 11 a.m. May 8 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. The Rev. Glen Lewandowski officiated and burial with full military honors took place in the parish cemetery. Visitation was May 7 at the Foley Funeral Home and continued from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church Monday. Service with dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home. Dale Louis Lewandowski was born Feb. 12, 1942, in St. Cloud, to Louis and Mary (Kubat) Lewandowski. He attended grade school in Ronneby and graduated from Foley High School, class of 1960, where he played basketball. During high school, he worked for Lewandowski Implement. After he graduated from high school, he attended the University of Minnesota and eventually enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After the service, he farmed with his parents after his brother, Kelly, passed away. Dale married Judy Kampa March 4, 1965, at St. John’s Catholic Church. The couple celebrated 58 years of marriage together and raised four daughters: Sherrie, Brenda, Lisa and Terra. Together as a family, they operated Green Acres Dairy Farm in Gilman. Dale was active on several farm boards including the beef board, AMPI, ADA, and was the recipient of the Outstanding Farmer of the Year award. He also enjoyed tractor pulls, custom combining and all field work. After retiring, the couple moved to Zimmerman where they lived for 28 years.  Dale bid septic systems and drove truck for Centra Sota and RDO. Dale and Judy enjoyed watching their grandchildren at many sporting events. He enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.

Michael J. Watercott

Michael Watercott, age 72, of St. Cloud, passed away April 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, at New Life Church in Foley. Visitation was May 8, at the Foley Funeral Home and continued one hour prior to the service at the church  Tuesday. Burial with full military honors will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Service with dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home. Michael Joseph Watercott was born June 10, 1950, in St. Cloud, to Adrian and Angeline (Novak) Watercott. He graduated from Foley High School, class of 1968. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Elaine Regnier and they had two sons; Chad and Clayton.  He later married Marlene Bue and had a son, Carly together. On Aug. 1, 1998, he married Judy Landowski at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman.  Michael farmed and raised cattle south of Duelm and worked construction, owning and operating Watercott Construction for many years.  His work was his hobby and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Cynthia A. Berg Schesso Johnson

Cynthia A. Berg Schesso Johnson, age 73, of Foley, Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren April 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and many beloved pets.

Lucille Skiba

Lucille Skiba, age 87, of Foley, passed away April 18, 2023, at The Gardens at Foley Nursing Center. Mass of Christian Burial was April 22, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. The Rev. Matthew Langager officiated and burial took place in the parish cemetery. Visitation was at the church on Saturday before mass. Service with dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home. Lucille Skiba was born April 25, 1935, in Benton County to Louie and Clara (Bursch) Dobos. She married Hank Skiba June 25, 1955, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville. The couple farmed all of their married life near Gilman. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and the Rosary Sodality.

Lora Lee Adelman

Lora Lee Adelman, 87, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home. A Mass of Christian burial was at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Minden Township April 14. Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral Mass.  The Rev. Michael Wolfbauer officiated and the Rev. Daniel Walz concelebrated. Burial was in the St. Patrick Parish Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

Evelyn F. Scapanski

Evelyn Scapanski, age 97, of Foley, passed away April 8, 2023.  Mass of Christian burial took place April 14 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. The Rev. Matthew Langager and the Rev. Thomas Olson concelebrated and burial took place in the parish cemetery. Visitation was before Mass at the church Friday. Service with dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Rosella E. (nee Albright) Semrau

Rosella Elizabeth (nee Albright) Semrau, age 91, of Lakewood, Washington, passed away March 2, 2023. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Duane Semrau; parents, Mary and Stanley Albright; sisters, Merlin (Rodney) Stumvoll and Deloris (Ronald) Audette. Survived by brother, Floyd Albright; son, Robert; daughters, Rebecca (Michael) Walker, Mary (Dan) Gambriel, Lori (Thomas) Mann, Theresa (Evan) Fisher, Julie (Jerry) Martin; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 21, and two hours prior to service, all at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Agnes R. “Aggie” Hoffmann

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Agnes R. “Aggie” Hoffmann, 85, of St. Joseph was 11 a.m. April 3 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville.  Aggie passed away peacefully March 28, 2023 at Serenity Village in Avon.  The Rev. Cletus Conners, OSB officiated.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rockville.  Livestreaming was available at christcatholic.com    Visitation was 9:30 a.m. Monday. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
